Hook & Hustle Fishing contest

Ladies and Gents, Start your hustlin’

Hook & Hustle is a summer-long Gulf Coast fishing competition running June 15 through August 31 for anglers chasing speckled trout, redfish, and sheepshead. No entry fee, no weigh stations, and no single tournament weekend; just fish all summer, log your catches in the app, and climb the leaderboard.

Prizes

We’re putting up $7,000 for 1st Place Overall, open to all contestants, $1,500 for the top Amateur Division angler, and $1,500 for Fan Favorite.

Scoring

Fish are scored using a species multiplier system to keep competition fair across all three species, with each logged catch counting toward your final score. The rarer the species, the higher the multiplier. The more you log, the higher the score.

Rules

All submissions must be photographed on a tournament-grade ruler with mouths closed and eyes visible, and every catch must include a release photo showing the fish going back into the water. Points will be deducted for poor fish handling, open mouths, or covered eyes. Competitors must also post at least once a week on social media throughout the tournament. To be eligible, photos of fish must include “#Pelican Log”, written or typed on paper, in the photo. This will help us ensure that contestants aren’t reusing old photos.

Fish where you want, when you want, and see how you stack up against anglers across the Gulf Coast all summer long.
